Women of Faith Advocating Change
An established partnership of female pastors and faith leaders, community service providers, and community stakeholders — organized around one mission: closing the health and wellness gaps facing African American women, girls, and their families.
Make An Impact.
Make A Difference.
Our Mission
Faith solutions to disparities that don't wait.
Our mission is to address the disparities that adversely impact African American women, girls and their families — and to find viable faith solutions through education, information and advocacy.
Who makes up WFAC
Fifteen houses of worship, one table.
WFAC isn't a program run by one church for its own members. It's a standing partnership — female pastors and faith leaders sitting alongside the community service providers and stakeholders already doing the work on the ground.
One coalition, many pulpits.
Established in 2008, WFAC has spent well over a decade proving that fifteen congregations can move as one body — without any of them losing their own voice.
Advocacy that crosses traditions.
Mental health and illness sit on WFAC's agenda alongside heart disease and cancer — and reaching it well has meant sitting at the table with leaders from traditions well beyond WFAC's own fifteen congregations.
